Signal types reference

Rate Radar generates multiple types of signal. Some look at your comp set as a whole (hotel-level), and others look at each room category individually (room-type-level).

Only one signal is shown per stay date. If a hotel-level signal fires for a date, room-type Signals for that date are suppressed so the Signal Hub doesn't get noisy.

If no hotel-level signal fires, the highest priority room-type signal is shown instead.

How thresholds are set

The 10 price-change threshold and 10% pricing-position threshold are defaults that work well for most properties, but this may differ depending on your market and currency.

If you want them tuned differently for your property — for example, a 200 threshold based on your currency — you can customise these in Property Settings.

When a Signal stops firing

Signals are generated every time prices update.

A Signal disappears from the Hub automatically when the underlying condition is no longer true. For example, a "competitor sold out" signal clears as soon as that competitor has rooms available again. See Reading, dismissing, and re-firing for the full lifecycle.
