Daily rate updates and the 365-day window

Rate Radar refreshes competitor rates on a fixed cadence. Understanding how often the data updates — and how far ahead it reaches — is essential to using the product confidently.

The 365-day forecast window

Every update pulls rate and availability data for the next 365 days, for every property in your comp set. That's why the Calendar lets you scroll forward up to twelve months, and why every dashboard view has data for future dates well beyond peak booking windows.

How updates run

There are two kinds of update:

  1. The scheduled daily update. Rate Radar runs one full price refresh every day at the time you set during onboarding (Step 4: Schedule daily update). Most hotels choose somewhere between 7 AM and 9 AM local time so the data is current when the team starts their pricing discussions.

  2. Manual updates. You can also trigger a refresh on demand by clicking Update prices at the top of the Overview, Calendar, or Detail view.

The 4-per-day limit

You can run up to three manual updates per day on top of the scheduled one — for a maximum of four updates per day.

If you've already used your three manual refreshes, the Update prices button will be disabled until the next day.

Reading the last update timestamp

Every Rate Radar page shows Last update X minutes ago next to the action buttons. This is the freshness indicator for the data on screen. If the timestamp is several hours old and you need current data, click Update prices.

When an update is in flight, a banner shows Prices are currently updating with a count of items remaining. You can keep using Rate Radar while it runs — the data refreshes in place as it arrives.

Scheduled update time

You can change your scheduled update time at any point from your property settings. Pick a time zone, an hour, and AM/PM. The update runs at that local time every day.
