Customising commission
Beacon reads the commission for each source from your property management system (PMS). Two settings let you correct it where your PMS doesn't hold the full picture.
Commission affects the Commission figures on the Sources page and any revenue shown as Net (ex tax & com).
Finding the settings
Click your initials at the top right of the page and click Property. Click the Explorer tab. The two settings are on the Included in Rate and Commission Exceptions tabs.
Included in Rate
Some sources send booking values that already include their commission. Mark those sources here, so Beacon knows to take the commission off when it works out your net revenue. Every other source is treated as not including commission.

Click the Included in Rate tab.
Type the name of the source in the search box.
Click Mark included.
To change a source back, find it in the list under the search box and click Exclude commission.
Commission Exceptions
An exception replaces a source's usual commission for bookings made during a set period, and if you choose, only for guests arriving within a set date range. Use one when a source's commission changes for a while, such as during a promotion.

Adding an exception
Click the Commission Exceptions tab.
Search for the source and click Add next to it. If the source already has an exception, click it in the table instead. You'll see its Default commission.
Click + Add exception.
Set the Booking window, which is the dates and times the bookings were made between.
Leave Any arrival ticked to cover every booking made in that window. To cover only bookings that also check in between certain dates, untick it and set the Arrival window.
Enter the commission percentage in Override rate.
Click Add, then click Save changes. The exception isn't saved until you click Save changes.
Changing or removing an exception
Open the source in the table. Click the pencil icon next to an exception to change it, or the bin icon to remove it, then click Save changes.
How exceptions are applied
An exception with an arrival window covers the whole stay of any booking that checks in during it. A booking that checks in before the window isn't covered, even if the stay runs into it.
Each exception is tagged LIVE or ENDED. Ended exceptions are hidden to begin with, along with any source whose exceptions have all ended. Click All to see them, and Exclude ended to hide them again.
